BC Veglo organizes the Leiden Open every year, the largest badminton tournament in Leiden and the surrounding area. 

Traditionally, it will take place in one of the weekends following the autumn competition. In 2023 the Leids Open took place on Saturday 4 march.

Classes B (up to 2nd division), C (up to 5th division), and D (up to 7th division) are played.
